Re: error #15 (absurd?)

Well, now I get another error. Somewhere at the end of the first pass, a popup-window appears saying "No file output". And in the list the state is "error". But no indication whatsoever *WHY* no output file has been created. There is >100 GB HDD space free and it was just a 5min test-file now. .... :?

Re: error #15 (absurd?)

follow up:
updated to 0.7.2.4525 ==> "Application Error" gone

I'll post back here later on whether error #015 re-occurs. If you have any helpful suggestions in the meanwhile, please don't hesitate, though. Thanks.

Re: audio delay (when converting to MP4/h.264/mp3)

I think you'll find that most VOBs have a 'video delay' value in their header/tag, listed under Audio, which I gather is applied by a player to give sync. The first VOB of a Title set, such as VTS_02_1 will often have zero delay, and so is not stated, but, the others, VTS_02_2, etc, will have large...

Re: audio delay (when converting to MP4/h.264/mp3)

thanks so much for your help, which is most valuable!

But why is there an audio delay (bearing in mind that mplayer has no delay during playback!)
And how can it be prevented in the first place ?

Re: how to convert DVD(multiple vob files) to single video file?

Thanks a bunch for all your work posting those screenshots.
Actually, I *can* add DVD files, that's not the problem. The question here was about converting them into a single video file as opposed to 10-15 of them (... who would do that with his/her favorite movie ? :D )

Re: how to convert DVD(multiple vob files) to single video file?

DVDshrink will join them without processing if the Target DVD size is set to DVD9 (8.5 GB) under Preferences. In any case the level of processing/conversion is indicated in its R panel by the value of 'Compression' (100% means none). You will end up with 1 large VOB! good to know, many thanks meRobs!

Re: how to convert DVD(multiple vob files) to single video file?

If you rip with the freebie DVDshrink you can choose under Preferences to uncheck "split VOB files into into 1 GB chunks", ie, they will rip to one VOB file! interesting. But judging from your text only, DVDshrink wouldn't necessarily join the .vob files, just because it does not split them ... Any...

Re: how to convert DVD(multiple vob files) to single video file?

Thanks for your help, mixer. Sorry, but what do you mean by "go back and re-rip to a single file" ... ? The DVD consists of several .vob files and I just copied them to my HDD. OK, I see ... I can right-click and choose "group". Didn't know that this was going to join the videos. But why does it "so...
