Re: stable rgconfiguration
A M4V is a video-only version of MP4, much like how M4A is the audio-only version of a MP4 file. That's why you were getting no audio if you were trying to use the M4V format. If you're worried about files renaming themselves, just manually set the output folder to something else than the "Original ...

Re: stable rgconfiguration
There is no particular one-size-fits-all configuration because depending on what you're trying to convert to, your settings will change. And to be fair, MediaCoder is actually fairly stable for the most part, some of the lesser known codecs might have problems though. As for QuickSync, I've never us...

What's the MediaInfo printout of the source file? Click the "Properties" button at the top of the right-hand pane and copy-paste the info from the pop-up window.

Re: How to set certain preset as default?
MediaCoder will always load the settings you last used. That means that if you only use that preset, it should have those settings loaded the next time you start MediaCoder.

Re: Program starts but not fully
If you want to enable general logging, you need to be able to access the MediaCoder settings... Even then, the logs don't really seem to say much. It doesn't even start logging until the main window has loaded. As for your issue, I have no idea why. Seems that you've tried re-installing and revertin...

Re: Too often key request
Last time I used MediaCoder without a licence (which was a couple months ago), I did notice an increase in the popups compared to previous versions. So I don't think it is something that is happening solely to you...

Re: Cannot start mediacoder premium
Have you tried running MediaCoder with admin privileges? Right-click the program exe file, and there should be a "Run as Administrator" option. It needs it to connect to the licence server for some reason.

Re: Apple TV 3 Preset?
For the 3rd gen Apple TV would I just select the Apple TV (720p) preset and change the resolution to 1920x1080 when needed or does MediaCoder still really need a dedicated preset for the 3rd Apple TV? I suppose you could but you also need to change the bitrate as well at minimum. Maybe some of the ...

Re: How do I convert my purchased iTunes video to my HP Tabs
MediaCoder does not have DRM circumvention abilities so you will need to use another program (which won't be discussed here due to the legal stuff about DRM). Once you have done that though, depending on the format it comes in, it may or may not need to be converted. MP4 files are universally suppor...
