Re: WebM file only transcodes about 90 seconds
The issue was still around in version 5248, but I found a solution; unchecking "Auto" on the system tab and setting the source to FFMPEG allowed the entire 3.5 hour video to be transcoded. I have no idea why that worked, it was a lucky shot.

Re: Intel QuickSync Error 14
Are you sure you are using the most recent version of the Intel drivers? I thought I was, but it turns out that I was using version 8.15.10.2653. Updating it to 8.15.10.2656 allowed the Intel encoder to work properly.

Re: WebM file only transcodes about 90 seconds
Sure. If I do not mention an option, that will usually mean that it is not checked/selected. Thanks! Video Bitrate = 10 MB.s Mode = Avg Bitrate Format = H264 Encoder = Intel Source = Auto (FFMpeg) Quality = Quality Profile = High Level = Auto Ref Frames = 5 Use Hardware Acceleration = Yes Use D3D Su...

WebM file only transcodes about 90 seconds
I am trying to transcode a webm file to mp4 and it seems to only take 90 seconds out of about three hours. I have no idea why this would be happening. Any suggestions?

Re: Intel Encoder options
Maybe I wasn't clear. There are many more options under the x264 setting than the Intel Coder setting. For example, B-frames and CABAC. As the Intel Coder is also converting into H.264 from what I understand, are the settings under the x264 tab (and the long setting page) used for the Intel coding i...

Intel Encoder options
There are various options listed in the standard x264 encoder and not in the Intel version (B-frames for example). Does the Intel encoder look at the settings of x264 for these, or are they currently hardcoded and unavailable for changing?

Re: Error 14 with Intel Encoder
I solved the issue. It was on my end for not using the most up-to-date Intel drivers. I was using Intel drivers version 8.15.10.2653. Updating it to 8.15.10.2656 allows Mediacoder to recognize the Intel SDK (I also added mediacoder to VIRTU).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Z68 and quick sync
I'll post more details in the hope that someone may have an answer. This is also cross-referenced in the GPU-based forum in this thread: http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=11138 I have an i7 SandyBridge 2600K on an ASUS P8Z68-V Pro motherboard. I also have a GeForce GTX 570 as well. ...
