Re: Media Coder encoding insanely slow?
Try this, download the full package installer for 4700 and install it. During 4700 installation rename the install folder if still keeping 4640 installed, to Mediacoder4700 for example. And select for 'Save Data Files In Program Folder'. After installing open the 4700 codecs folder and rename ffmpeg...

The problem with ATI vs Nvidia as i see for along time. And don't get me wrong here i use ATI becuase they are far superior for video, i don't play games nor waiting for cutting edge hardware. I did use nvidia gfx many years ago, now only for interent pcs, and soon those will be ati. Found their dri...

If the video is for your enjoyment only, there is no problem.

Re: Cannot get 5.1 channel AC3 at 48 kHz
Agree i also tested with source as Mplayer, it does work correctly for AC3 to 5.1 (6chnl) (test file flac (2ch) to ac3 6(ch).
But doesn't work with mediacoder FFMpeg source and encoder to AC3 5.1 (6ch). Tested with Avanti with FFMpeg as source and the encoder and it works, medaicoder is at fault.

A Few days later after the 4702 release. Install update-4702 over 4700 full build install. By choosing 4700 full install folder (install folder is named Mediacoder4700). Selecting Revert Current Settings or not, this error is shown and then quits update install. This is an Mediacoder update and can ...

You could try any or all of these below. As not a known bug, i have seen so far. Save a preset first File > Save as preset as [ somefilen...

Re: Help with AviSynth and overlays.
Probably as you say 'some important instructions missing'.
Maybe by using a software gui that interfaces with avisynth could be another good choice.
