Xvidxore is a lot faster on my system. i do remember from the past thinking that ffmpeg was fast i'm guessing that would have been on my dual core. on my quad the fully multithreaded xvidcore works wonderfully, maxes out my cpu. with ffmpeg cpu load will be like 30% including the decoding and audio....

We have seen this before. Back in 2011 R9 this was fixed. the changelog includes this item -Fixed XVID fourcc issue in AVI container so my guess is that this is actually a bug and Stanley just doesn't know about it. it is pretty frustrating to have all your pre-sets set. do hours of encoding and fin...

use virtual dub. it's trivial. just be sure to set the audio and video to direct stream copy then use the append option.
