Where is version # 0.6.1.4195 ?

Hi Everyone, Last week, I downloaded & installed the full edition file of version # 0.6.1.4195 . Today, when I checked for updates, I didn't see any update file for version # 0.6.1.4195 to the current beta. And I didn't see a version # 0.6.1.4195 in the change a log either. What's up with version # ...

It looks like I posted this thread on the wrong forum group , after all ,this thread is a question, not a Tip or a Guide. I should have posted this thread on the "Audio Edition " forum .
Sorry about the typo .

Error when trying to encode mp3 to optimFROG

Hi Everyone, I was playing around with some new codecs, and I tried to encode some mp3s to optimFROG files. But I always got a "error loading optimFROG" message, and also a "error 17" message about a problem transferring the tags. So when I UN-checked every option in "text" , I then received a "erro...

leoliver, nice to see that you're still around here. Codec loss comparison is many time pretty subjective........I mean what sounds lousy to one person sound okay to another. Trained Ears? It also depends on the type of music..etc. I can really hear the digital artifacts at 128 kb/s using many of t...

How does AAC at 80 to 96 kb/s compare to other audio format

Hi Everyone, I was wondering how does AAC at 80 to 96 kb/s compare to other audio formats such as mp3 or Ogg Vorbis ? I had some good results with the Nero Encoder , set at HE-AAC _ 64kb/s. Would a higher bit rate of 80 or 96 kb/s have a good difference in sound quality ? And a final question , what...

I may have partially solved the problem . It seems when I load this particular folder , each file is loaded twice . But the duplicates are only empty container files. I never had this happen before , so I don't know what could be causing this . I'll delete the container duplicates from the "ready" w...

Unsual results when encoding with the Nero encoder

Hi Everyone, Yesterday I took a mp3 264 KBPS audio file, from a CD I purchased and backed up to my hard drive , and used MediaCoder's Nero Encoder to encode it to HE-AAC . Here's the MediaCoder readout for the encoded file : "General #0 Complete name : C:\Documents and Settings\Lawrence Oliver\My Do...

What you want to do makes complete sense. So, to get the best quality with the least amount of disk space you have to consider a couple of things: 1. The codec 2. The video bitrate 3. And to some degree, the video size/resolution and frame rate And....finally, you have to think about compatibility....
