Re: Mediacoder VS Express 2012 version does not works on Win
fwiw, I noticed in comments to this Microsoft blog, some guy complains of a bug in the executable for XP. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vcblog/archive/2012/11/26/visual-studio-2012-update-1-now-available.aspx Posted as a bug too: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/773506/visual-stu...

Re: Issues with subtitles always being embedded solved
Thanks for the subtitle guide. I recently needed to recode some high bitrate mkv to lower bitrate mkv, and keep the embedded text subs. I was confused by the subtitle panel, as I felt that some options suggested that a passthru (copy) of the sub stream was possible. I'm not home now and can't descri...

Re: Mediacoder VS Express 2012 version does not works on Win
Not tested this myself, I do only some encoding on an XP machine machine nowadays, but I'm away from home Sounded like Stanley did expect this to work on XP, as he mentioned it in his release notes: http://blog.mediacoderhq.com/release-notes-of-mediacoder-0-8-18/ Along with the release of Visual Stu...

(in addition to my previous comment - not yet visible as it needs to be moderated)...
the blog post you refer to says that maximum (at that time) is 4 parallel jobs. you say you try 5. perhaps try with 2 jobs first, and go up from there

Re: Parallelize Not Working In My Case
I doubt the blog post meant to say that it only works on 8/16 core. Rather, that if you have 8/16 core, than you can really benefit maximally from this. However, I suspect the problem in your case to be the use of CUDA. Isn't CUDA basically the use of the Video card for encoding. I don't know if the...

Re: video out of sync - converting mp4 from htc one s for ip
I think I've seen posts suggesting there's at least a few issues with the version 5330. (http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12372) But I do not pretend to know your issue is related during the decode, I see this in your logs: VIDEO: [H264] 544x960 24bpp 51.167 fps 1708.4 kbps (208.5 ...

new feature: Multi-Pass CRF – better than CRF ?
Hi guys, just wondering, I see the dev (stanley) posted about adding a new feature: multipass CRF, essentially using CRF on the first pass, to determine the appropriate bitrate according to CRF, for the later passes. I'm no expert, but seem to remember reading (source and validity unknown) that a 2 ...
