What aac encoder do you use? (I think there are 4 of them in MediaCoder)
I had posted the same problem here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8715&start=0
Stanley's response there might help you, too.

Re: Fabio Sonatti's Profile (Updated)
thanks to everyone for this helpful thread! Does anyone know the complete settings used by Fabio? Because the ones posted below are of course just a coarse outline. 13 February, 2008 Pushing H.264 to the limit - Part II 3) What tools am I useing ? Re: Copy audio is ignored (confirmed 0.7.2-0.7.3)
good work, dtechnology.
given that you included the workaround suggested by stanley in your OP, I assume you understand what he meant?
Could you answer my earlier questions in that regard?

Re: Copy audio is ignored 0.7.2 (b4582+b4594)
I'm sorry Stanley, but I don't understand this. When you said "A workaround: disable muxer and choose ffmpeg or mencoder as video encoder." ... you suggested a workaround to me, so that's a suggestion, isn't it? So, in short, did you mean (1) there is nothing I can do but wait for a future MediaCode...

Re: Nero HE-AAC v2 => "no file outputed"
Hi Stanley. (post edited) If you are refering to the output sampling rate ("Resample" button), I always left that at "original" for my Nero HE-AAC v2 testings. If you are refering to the input sampling rate (of the source file), I would have thought that any sampling rate should be supported. But fo...

Re: X264 profile - trying to use Fabio Sonatti's settings
Well I followed the link posted above. Then clicked on "Check out this demo". That's it.
But I tried it again today and this time the filesize is only 15,4 MB (so yes, 500 kbps roughly).
I don't know what caused the change, but at any rate 500 kbps is impressive.

Re: X264 profile - trying to use Fabio Sonatti's settings
I'm pretty amazed at the quality he was able to get out of 500k encoding. http://www.flashcomguru.com/index.cfm/2008/2/2/jaw-drop-h264 I didn't have the time to read 7+ pages, but just to quickly chime in: the premiss is flawed, because the video in the provided link doesn't have 500kbps but 1121 k...

Re: Nero HE-AAC v2 => "no file outputed"
(edited by admin) I updated to 0.7.3.4612 and I get the very same errors as posted above. I have a hard time understanding this, because AAC is certainly one of the most popular codecs, so why would they not work out-of-the-box ? I just found that my report seems to be confirmed here: Were you conve...

changing fps
what does MediaCoder do when changing fps? e.g. source file has 30 fps and output is set to 24fps does MediaCoder (1) just drop some frames (with the downside being that a jump from frame x to frame x+2 would certainly be quite noticeable) (2) recalculate all 24 frames, based on frame x-1 and frame ...
