Re: I can't configure Media Coder
You don't need to install codec packs to use MediaCoder. It already has all the necessary files to read and convert files built into it. Also, those errors are usually due to incompatible settings and such. Details on the error codes and what they relate to can be found here: http://blog.mediacoderh...

Re: MEncoder missing as multiplexer.
Seems that MEncoder was basically removed because other encoders/muxers were better at doing the same job... You'd have to talk to Stanley for specifics though.

Re: problem with multitasking and recursive folder
Pretty sure the parallelize jobs option in MediaCoder is limited to the Premium version. Or something. In any case, the free and donate versions only have the "1 job" option there. And in all honesty, I don't think parallelising 2 jobs would provide any benefit as even 1 job can max out an 8-thread ...

Re: Burn in subtitles wired fix issue (zlib Muxing mode)
What version are you using? Because I haven't had a lot of issues with english subs in my testing runs (I personally do not hardsub my videos since softsub support is pretty common nowadays). Also, it's possible for English subs to use something other than the MediaCoder supported character encoding...

Re: Burn in subtitles wired fix issue (zlib Muxing mode)
It's the character encoding. Playing back the extracted sub and the video in SubtitleEdit shows that none of the character encoding styles available in MediaCoder can interpret it which is why it can't hardsub them. Seems that MediaCoder has quite a few issues with non-English languages. I've found ...

Re: Burn in subtitles wired fix issue (zlib Muxing mode)
Your settings look fine but I'm not personally able to test CUDA encoding as I have AMD graphics cards currently. I used x264 as my encoder in my successful test run (slower but can produce better quality/efficiency). So yeah, try using x264 instead. Keep same settings for everything else. And use "...

Re: Help with muxing with FFMPEG
IIRC, there was a bug where the commands wouldn't actually get sent to the multiplexer if you just used the input box the GUI. Try going into the Advanced settings window (there's a button labelled "Advanced" right under where you were putting in the optional arguments), scroll to the very bottom an...

Re: Burn in subtitles wired fix issue (zlib Muxing mode)
I used nearly the same settings as you except for my Encoding which was on Auto, not UTF-8, and language was set to Eng (but that doesn't affect the hardcoding process anyway) and I had no problems hardcoding an A.S.S sub file onto an MP4. And it didn't even have the zlib muxing mode property either...

Re: optimize picture of my settings
If you want to keep a 4:3 ratio, then usually you'd just set the Aspect Ratio field under the Picture tab to "Keep Pixel AR" since your source is already 4:3 and you're not resizing. However, you have a Manual crop enabled so you'd have to take the additional step of changing the settings in the Cro...

Re: MEncoder missing as multiplexer.
It is possible to update the encoders yourself I think. That way you can get the faster encoding while keeping Mencoder. I've done that a couple of times myself but never with a version as old as 0.7.2.4570 but it should still work. Just download the encoders if they're free or open source and just ...
