Build 5506 - neroAacTag error if tags contain double quote

I was converting some mp3 to m4a (aac HEv2), with Nero as (default) audio encoder. The conversion was reported a success, but I noticed in the command-line window that there were errors with the tagging. The root cause seems to be that the tagging command is not properly escaping the double quotes i...

Re: Can't find log file (mediacoder.log)

Could somebody try if it works for them?

I've tried setting a complete path "c:\videos\recoded\mediacoder.log", instead of just a log filename "mediacoder.log" (in the Settings > Overall > Generic). Still no log file to be found. :-/

Re: Can't find log file (mediacoder.log)

thanks,
this helped me find C:\Users\my-user\AppData\Roaming\Broad Intelligence\MediaCoder
however, there was no log file there. Just some general preference files, and a few temp files (rss.xml, queue.xml, ...).

Can't find log file (mediacoder.log)

My current situation: I did an uninstall (5360) + install (5392). 32-bit version Vista + Mediacoder. I've changed the Settings > Overall > Generic - enable logging to file = on. - log file = mediacoder.log (the default) I can't find any file 'mediacoder.log'. I searched under "C:\program files\media...

Re: x264 Lookahead with OpenCL and Mediacoder

thx yeah, when I posted before, I had a long running 720p recode going on. I've now also tested with "OpenCL enabled" and the x264 subprocess then has the extra --opencl. So the setting behaves correctly x264_opencl --no-progress --preset slower --weightp 2 --b-pyramid strict --opencl --keyint 250 -...

Re: What is the Dropbox?

never used it, just googled it... seems to be a method for someone familiar with encoding, to create an XML configuration and share that with the "world". Others, less familiar with encoding, could launch & configure a "dropbox" by pointing to the XML (e.g. on a URL, forum post, ...) and dropping fi...

Re: x264 Lookahead with OpenCL and Mediacoder -bug?

The OpenCL option for x264 has been added in 0.8.21.5392. Two versions of x264 (one is built with OpenCL) are included in the distribution. hi I got a question about this :) my system: Core2 Duo T9300 / Quadro FX 360M laptop (Vista 32bit + 32-bit mediacoder 5392). I see "OpenCL" in the statusbar (w...
