stebe: you have to specify the aid(audio id) of your vob file.

first, play your vob file with MPUI (F5) and use tools -> audio track menu to find out which audio track is the one you want. in mose cases 128 is the main English audio track.
put the found audio id in the Audio ID box of the Audio tab.

i am trying to convert mpeg1 to mpeg2 in mediacoder ready for dvd.
but when i select FIXED video BITRATE i still get a file with a variable video bitrate.
help!!!!!!!!!!!

I want MediaCoder to transcode a file equivalent to using "lame.exe -V 2 --vbr-new". But I have no idea what "algorithm quality" is. Or the other options such as "keep all frequencies" or "low-pass filter frequencies". Could someone please explain what these are?

yes I can read mp4 with quicktime but I do need quicktime format for my sound cleaner software who as some problems with mp4 extensions when I am trying to save: Bias SoundSoap 2.0 .
