Re: transcoding bug with MPEG2 video in M2TS container

I suggest you try the suggested settings for MPEG2 in the Encoding Guide, listed under Tips & Guides (link below).
Then, change the settings one at a time as you approach what you want.
Finally, report your findings

Re: MediaCoder: a Trimmed-down Version

Because of suggestions by mixer (http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=13058 ) I have expanded the above Guide to include results and comparisons with Handbrake, ShanaEncoder and Kiara. Also, I have added a suggestion to avoid repeated reminders to update if an early (smaller) build of ...

Re: Got bad harcoded subtitles

MediaCoder is the most capable encoder available. It is constantly being evolved with new features being added and existing ones improved. As a result, MediaCoder has almost a countless number of possible settings and paramter combinations. When changes are made, some features or combinations of set...

Re: MediaCoder Missing Subs Renderers

According to the Guide on Subtitles (see Tips & Guides): the render “Mode” on the Subtitle tab should be set at Text Render, A.S.S Render or VobSub Render for builds since 5335 or set “Renderer” at Default in earlier builds. Hence, it seems that the modes may have been econimised in the most recent ...

Re: Got bad harcoded subtitles

I suggest you read the Guide on subtitles, listed under Tips & Guides (link below). As for the popup asking for a response, from my experience this happens with the free version when encoding a batch of files. There is a limit on batch encoding for the freebie. This is explained in the Guide on Medi...

Re: Subtitles dont work

If you had read the Guide on Subtitles, listed under Tips & Guides (link below), you would have noted that the testing done for that guide used MEncoder as the Video Source. This is especially so if you had converted to MP4 using the suggested settings in the Encoding Guide where Note 17 mentioned t...

Re: use older version

Let me make two comments. (1) there is little point in vague criticisms of the program. If you have a problem then I suggest you seek help for that problem. (2) when seeking help give accurate descriptions that are detailed enough for others to understand and/or duplicate so as to help. For example,...

Re: use older version

I never have this problem when using older versions because I always load a Preset when opening a version for the first time. The next time I open that version it will remember the settings. Of course, I create each Preset by first using the Satrater Preset as described in the Guide on Presets at ht...

Re: MediaCoder "a trimmed down version" comment

I had a quick look at meGUI 2418, which is able to convert many source formats to MP4 or MKV. Even though it seems to offer more control over the output than does Handbrake or Kiara it is far more comlex to use and far less user-friendly. It seems to need the use of scripts and the installation of i...
