Re: Been searching EVERYWHERE! (change audio pitch/speed)

Belight or Besweet Gui. Don't bother trying with mediacoder. You need to change the tempo of the audio and alter the header info to read the video at a different framerate.

Re: Bld 5280: fails to change video frame rate [FIXED]

Changing the framerate, 29.97fps to 25fps, results in dropped frames or slowing down the video, and would, I think be pretty useless.

If the video is actually soft telecined, 23.976fps converted to 25fps, that just entails adding duplicate frames.

Re: How to use x264 lossless setting?

In version 4275, you can set P frame quantizer qp=0, but only crf=0 shows in the command line when set to quality-based =100.

If you can set crf in whatever version you use, isn't that lossless enough? CRF is supposed to be superior to QP, usually.

Re: 2-Pass XVID Encoding

Evidently, something called xvid_encraw supports 3pass, but the difference is negligible from 2pass. XVID Version 1.3.2 still only has 2 pass in its encoder settings. I think adding yet another command line option to XVID will just lead to more problems. No way of knowing what configuration or versi...

Re: Help: Aspect Ratios/resolutions

In older versions, just type 1280x544 in the resize window. No idea of present versions.

X264 will however retain the DAR of the original, so you may have to alter it later with an app if the dimensions convert to 1280x544 , but play back at 1.778:1 instead of 2.35:1

Re: Trimming opening and closing credits

For AVIs use Virtual Dub Stream copy on I-frames.

For MPEGs try Free Video Dub.

Re: Build 5185 Transcoding Doubles Frame Rate!!

If it is actually adding duplicate frames (!) then try making an extra option -ofps 25 in mencoder if you are using mencoder. Or just use a version that worked.

Re: MKV to Xvid doubles framerate!!!

'AVI FourCC Changer' changes the fourCC; AVIFrate changes the framerate.

I think most players read the frame rate in the header, no idea about KMPlayer or VLC... I use MPC and MPlayer 8)

Sometimes standalones go out of sync if you change the frame rate after encoding, though.

Re: MKV to Xvid doubles framerate!!!

There is also an app called AVIFRATE, similar to a fourcc changer that alters framerates with out having to resave.
