MediaCoder

It gives the same help listing in r1114 (built a week ago), however, I get no error using 2 (even with the build included in MediaCoder 4275). The 2 option is listed here:

I added "-vf yadif=1:1" as an extra option to mencoder, but it is not added when I process a new file (obviously it won't affect anything currently running). I don't get any error, and I checked the arguments passed to it with Process Explorer, and it's not added.

It is impossible to set certain options. For example, the x264 option "How AQ distributes bits" (videoenc.x264.aq_mode) has two choices: "Disabled" and "Variance AQ". Is this being worked on? I'm no programmer, but I don't think it would be terribly difficult.

1) Is there any way to save the settings that I've used recently? Unfortunately, MediaCoder saves its preferences in the app folder instead of a user folder. Are you saving it to a read-only directory (e.g. reading the VOB from the DVD and having the original folder set as the output directory)?

Depends on the quality of the source file. Quality-based compression works as well, in case you were wondering.

Like I said, I can make videos compatible with PSPs that have recent firmware (I manually put the files in VIDEO and the PSP plays them without incident), but the extension has options that don't work (AFAIK MPEG-4 SP doesn't work, and PMP requires special software), and it doesn't transfer to VIDEO...

Any chance of an update for the extension? It still transfers to MP_ROOT, which, if I'm not mistaken, was replaced by VIDEO long ago.
