XviD is faster, has better quality and is free. There's nothing that DivX can do that XviD can't. Only those who do not know about XviD use DivX. So try it for yourself and see the difference!

P.S- Try x264(H.264) too, with MP4Box as the multiplexer. x264 is currently the best codec on earth.

In the Muxer tab, select MP4Box as the multiplexer.

Doom9

Stanley, why don't you start a forum for MediaCoder at Doom9? You'll get lots of exposure, support and beta-testing. It'll be great for the program, IMHO.

Resize

Please set the default method of resizing to "Precise Bicubic". And set precise bicubic to "0.5" precision. "0.5" is noticeably better than "0.75" at lower bitrates, with almost no decrease in speed.

x264 stuff

(x264) I have to manually enter "partitions=all" "b_pyramid=1" "deblock=-2,-1". How about adding these options to the configuration list? Also, your default frameref is 1. Better set to "frameref=3". "frameref=3 gains around 0.25dB PSNR over frameref=1, which should be a visible difference. frameref...
