LC-AAC in vs-5135

Hi The LC-AAC is bad format, not worth keeping in MediaCoder. I noticed it in MC vs-5135, the sound picture is wrong, there are short lasting noise jumps in soud that come in sound picture every some time. I encoded with settings: Source: PCM 48kHz Encoder: FAAC Source: MPlayer quality based: level ...

Re: h264.mkv to RAW or huffyuv (lossless)

No "Any Video Converter" didn't work correct.

It seems MediaCoder wont decode b-frames from video, and crashes because of that.

Avidemux tells frame order is wrong and fixes it + rebuilds index.

Re: h264.mkv to RAW or huffyuv (lossless)

I found that Any Video Converter can convert to huffyuv. But with MediaCoder the problem has been around for a really long time, can't convert to any format, soo the cause has to be something that connects all the video formats and muxers. It would be for sure reall nice to have atleast 2 working fo...

Plz help me to set MC to convert from h264.mkv file to some lossless format,
so i can edit the video in virtualdub.

I use Vista 64 and MediaCoder2011-x64-R8-5185
Mediacoder crashes,
older mediacoder versions crash also.

Re: Ref-Frames=3, B-Frames=1 is best default ?

Large number of b frames is useful when there is a lot of similar frames (colors between different frames).
But when video is very fast action and camera is not standing still then there is no need for 16 b-frames.

Re: Ref-Frames=3, B-Frames=1 is best default ?

Best is B-Frames=16 (DXVA compatible)
And
Ref-Frames (DXVA compatible)
14 for 720x480 / 720x576
9 for 1280x720
4 for 1920x1080

No, but i can pretty much everything done with Virtualdub MediaCoder and mkvmerge GUI.

Afterall even YouTube can decode the file if i use:
* fast decode
* zero latency

I think this 2 options above will turn on this settings:
No cabac
no b-frames
weightp=0
rc=cqp
mbtree=0

Re: Muxing to mp4 (x264 + Vorbis or LC-AAC)

Oo too bad mp4 container doesn't support vorbis audio. And AAC is not mentioned atleast the LC -AAC I figured mp4 is relatively new container but it's ages older than Ogg Vorbis and LC-AAC. Perhaps i muxed AC3 audio and remembered wrong it beeing AAC. Anyways LC-AAC 500 kbits is much better quality ...
