[Update] Lame MP3
Almost unnoticed Lame has released two new versions of lame.exe/lame_enc.dll in February and March 2010, the latest being version 3.98.4. For more information see changelog here: http://lame.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/lame/lame/doc/html/history.html?revision=HEAD Download here (for example): htt...

Re: Audio = MediaCoder stops responding
Hi SirAuron! Having thought for a while about your audio issue I came to the conclusion that maybe the nero encoder isn't installed during setup of MediaCoder. In the newer versions you have to choose nero encoder to be installed before setup starts (will not be done automatically). This would expla...

Re: Audio = MediaCoder stops responding
Hello SirAuron!
Have you tried it with 1-pass and constant bitrate for audio? I'm not really sure which one is causing your audio issue, the 2-pass encoding for the average bitrate or the average bitrate itself. So please, try out all possible combinations with 1-pass and constant bitrate.

Re: internal MPlayer crashes but XUL & VLC work ?
Hi, DLIW!
What you can try to do is playing around with the settings for the option "Video Output Device".
You reach this option by choosing File ---> Settings ---> Overall ---> Playback.
Chose an item from the drop-down-list and try to play your video file. If it crashes chose another item.

Re: No bitrate settings work except quality based
So then, Demetrio, could you please tell us a little bit more about your source file you are trying to convert to any other format, like container-format, video codec, bitrate and framerate. And of course the framerate of your destination video file and the genre of the movie (anime or action or som...

Re: No bitrate settings work except quality based
Hi, Demetrio! This seems to be the same problem I described here: http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8052 . So please, click on the "Advanced" button at the XviD-tab on the right side and search in the list for "Quantitizer Type". The default value of that option is set to H.263. Plea...

O-M-G! Yes, of course! I haven't thought of that possibility. Yes, that has solved my problem.
Thanks a lot!

Re: Not able to change Quantitizer Type (flv to avi/xvid)
Same GUI issue in version 0.7.2 build 4550 as described above for version 0.7.2 build 4526.
As there are only 2 options (H.263 or MPEG) to choose, wouldn't it be better to do it with radio buttons (Active-X controls) instead of the drop down list?

Not able to change Quantitizer Type (flv to avi/xvid)
Hi guys! I found out that my destination video files (converting .flv to .avi using MEncoder with DXN Home Theatre PAL Profile and 1 B-Frame) dont nearly reach my set bitrate of 1800 at a resolution of 640 x 480. The destination files have only bitrates around 950-1026. So I clicked on the "Advanced...

Re: Can't Transcode to Apple Lossless (m4a lossless)
Hi Raccio14! Sorry, but I don't know much about the audio version. Nevertheless I'm trying to help you. So, one more question from me: Have you been asked - during installation of the audio version - if you want to install FFmpeg and have you refused that? If so, then uninstall audio version, reboot...
