That explains it. It's strange though that a new version would break such an important feature. Another annoying thing with new versions is that they reset the settings. I suppose I can save the settings somehow and reapply them but still annoying.ladycoder wrote:I guess the later builds are not working

If you have DivX 6 installed, MC may be looking in the System32 folder, instead. Leave Format as XviD and Container as AVI. I had v6 installed in system32, so I renamed it to disable it, tried again but nothing. I can't figure out how to get to the divx properties window showing in the screenshot a...

... BTW, does mediacoder integrate srt subtitles into the AVI? ... Not. so what does the subtitles tab do then? I thought this meant you supply the subtitles file and mediacoder inserts into the avi. Aha! I'm see... :!: ... changed settings-video encoders-VFW Encoder-VFW Codec File to "C:\Program F...

What am I missing here? I downloaded divx.dll v5.1.1.1031 into "C:\Program Files\MediaCoder\codecs", changed settings-video encoders-VFW Encoder-VFW Codec File to "C:\Program Files\MediaCoder\codecs\divx.dll" and when nothing happened to just "divx.dll". Even restarted several times just in case. I ...

Answering my own question, it was the restrictive XviD profile buried somewhere in Settings. I changed that to Unlimited (or something like that) and now XviD encoding works fine. Even transcoding from RM to AVI works -- well, most of the time anyway. Occasionally, transcoding produces corrupt AVIs ...

Can't convert to XviD at all
I've spent days trying to get MediaCoder to convert video files to the exact format my little Rockchip based MP4 player will accept (AVI XviD 500kb/s 20fps, MP2 64kb/s 44100Hz). Other formats are rejected or cause the audio to go out of sync. I think I used all possible combinations in MediaCoder bu...

MediaCoder complains 'MPlayer DLL not found'. The RM files play OK in Preview, so MC can read them properly but it gives up immediately when transcoding. Video is set to bypass, and I tried all available sources. Output is set to Lame (various settings), although it doesn't seem to get that far anyw...
