Re: MediaCoder "a trimmed down version" comment

Very nice discussion and post on the encoder comparisons. Most of the limitations aren't an issue for my use, but the Handbrake ones are for sure. Quite irritating in fact. I hope your report interests the developer of MediaCoder since it shows the potential and benefits a streamlined and (all featu...

Re: Newbie first post minor problem

It's probably the version of MediaCoder your using. The "Effects" doesn't work in all versions. See this nice list of comparisons that meRobs made and try one of those: for x86 (32bit): http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10383 for x64 (64bit): http://forum.mediacoderhq....

Re: MediaCoder "a trimmed down version" comment

And thank you meRobs for the testing. OT a bit. My biggest complaint with MC was the loss or broken conversion to AVI using the Huffyuv codec. That's what I really needed. Good to see you are still around. See if you can get Kirara too. I think you will find it interesting. Try this link: http://www...

Re: MediaCoder "a trimmed down version" comment

I agree on your point of use. For me (and I should clarify for other readers), handbrake is somewhat finicky depending on the version. But, when converting single files, I've never had a crash. True also, documentation is very limited (you're on your own). Help from the forums is way over moderated ...

MediaCoder "a trimmed down version" comment

Since I couldn't respond to a locked post, I started another topic. If the mods decide to delete this, it's fine with me. merobs said: I now find that most, if not all, of my uses of MediaCoder are confined to conversions to MP4 and MKV and some to audio only. In other words, to formats that support...

Re: Is Mediacoder a freeware? Why can't I transcode more then 20

I would say that MediaCoder free version is really a limited version or "Lite" version. Many applications have this licensing. Still, the limitations are minimum so I don't see the issue. If you were to purchase an unlimited version in another software, it would cost 100 USD and up. So, wh...

Re: the current preset is ... ?

I see what you are saying. That's a very good idea.................the ability to have MediaCoder somewhere on the interface/menu indicate what preset is loaded or at least, last loaded. Feature Request.

Re: Old Versions Installers Are Faulty

Also, look at the post by meRobs which shows what older versions work. As, you've found, many are worth the trouble. You should also do a complete uninstall using Add/Remove programs as well as............deleting any folders associated with MediaCoder or Broad Technologies including ones in your Do...
