It won't matter as you will not get any faster. NVENC is limited to 2 streams per computer with commercial cards. Even using openCL you would still be limited because of the overhead required for the data exchange.
Here is my template for 10bit NVENC with Pascal. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <MediaCoderPrefs><node key="overall.task.destdir">L:\PS3\ </node><node key="overall.subtitle.mode">Disabled</node><node key="overall.audio.channels">Original</node><node key="overall.audio.copy">true</node><node ...
Thank you for that information Stanley. Changing the colour space in picture settings to i420 10bit does indeed change it to a 10bit encode. Thank you very much!
Regular 8bpp works perfectly fine with NVENC. I am going to attempt to change the colour space as you suggested and will report back in that thread whether it worked or not.
Will we be getting an update to NVENC to allow those of us with Pascal cards to encode in 10bit for HEVC? Just curious. At the moment the only encoder I can find that has this support is Hybrid and he is using Nvencc. I would really like the software that I supported, mediacoder, to include this opt...
