Have you tried using the MediaInfo program

or in Mediacoder ... "Details of selected file" from the Item menu

to get a report of the internal format of the file?

I think what you are trying to do (pitch shift) is outside the scope/capability of Mediacoder. MC can change the sampling frequency, but not modify the 'sound' content ( eg pitch etc) of the audio. I think you might need to look at software such ad audacity, goldwave etc which are sound editors/proc...
