Re: Intel Quick Sync Not Working

Well, it took me awhile, but I got it working again. First, I switched back to an older version of the software (MediaCoder-x64-0.8.23.5530). That recognized that my CPU supported Intel Quick Sync. But, I really wanted to use the newest version with the updated Intel encoder. I decided to try updati...

Re: Sound synch is always slightly out

When you add a video file to convert you'll notice to the right there is a little window marked "Properties." It goes into more detail about the video and audio. Under the audio portion it will list the "delay." Click on the "Options" menu near the top of the screen and make sure that the "User Inte...

Intel Quick Sync Not Detected

I just updated to MediaCoder version 8.24.5540x64 from version 8.23.5530x64 using the full version download. I get a message saying "No Supported Acceleration Hardware Detected" when I click on the GPU box under the video tab. I made sure the Intel Accelerated Encoder box was checked during the ins...

MKVMerge and Extract Updates

Under the tools directory of MediaCoder is mkvmerge.exe and mkvextract.exe which are used when converting to an mkv video file. There are updated versions of those files at http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/ I'm not sure why they haven't been included with the MediaCoder updates. I have do...

Re: Intel Encoder options

I think that the Intel encoder does have less options. The CUDA encoder also has less options than x264.

Re: Quick Sync decoding while encoding

Did you install both the Intel encoder and the Intel SDK during installation? Make sure both boxes are checked under the video encoders during the install.

Re: How to improve Intel Encoder quality?

When you install the software open the list of video encoders and make sure that both the Intel encoder and Intel sdk boxes are checked. Also, use MP4 as the container and not MKV. MP4 seems to do a better job of keeping the display aspect ratio correct.

Re: Error 14 with Intel Encoder

Install the Intel Media SDK. You need that and the Intel accelerated encoder installed. I find that using MP4 as the container works best when using the Intel encoder. MKV doesn't always keep the display aspect ratio correct.
