Re: NVENC or Cuda encode/ MSI Afterburner plugin help?
Nvidia NVENC H.264 isn't going to be support by the 580 as it only in 600 series and higher(there are cards with a 6xx in it that are rebrand of the 400\500 series so be aware of this). As for intel quick sync that processor is based on westmere ep which I found doen't have an intergrated card even ...

Re: Geforce gtx 550 ti not supported?
If you using relative current driver you have to use an older driver to use cuda. The gtx 550 ti won't support NVENC(it only on 600 series that use kepler\maxwell or newer) so that won't be a choice.

Re: Open cl based encoding
mole007 NVENC link work at least on my desktop. My laptop is actually similar to mole007 with it 860m to also be maxwell based and i7 4710hq as the cpu however I stop worry about the nvidia card and just used the quick sync but now I have a way to compare it on the same computer. Just and edit I fig...

Re: Cuda coding not working on Maxwell cards?
To my knowledge nvidia removed the cuda video encoder option in the newer drivers in favor of Nvidia NVENC which is similar to intel quick sync in that it use dedicated for encoding, however mediacodier doesn't support NVENC as of this posting. Since you mention a mobile card(980m) if you have a int...

Open cl based encoding
I aware the mediacodier support intel quick sync and cuda. As it seem the 900 series(from what I seen with my gtx 970) has trouble due to the drivers with cuda based encoding and nvidia NVENC probably won't be usable soon due to developer(http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12846). I ...

Re: Encode with CUDA Problem
I ran into a similar image issue with flv under the current 2011 beta. I found out that the newer 266.58 don't work as well as the 258.96 driver I had previously install for me and old version of mediacoder(0.7.3.4625) would say something like the cudaH264Enc crash and cuda didn't work I had to down...

Re: Set CPU Utilization?
If you have dual\quad(in case of high end laptops) core you might be able to have mediacoder on use half or a forth of all you cpu. Under the list to encoder under general is a core affinty option that will allow you to limit the core use which might work. If not it might be possible if you use vist...

Re: Length of cuda encoded file to short
I had the same problem with certain flv files I found that by forcing ffpmeg( I can't exactly remember the correct name but it close to that) decoder that it seem to fix the problem as the video where the right lenght afterwards.
