Build 5233: Lost internet connection stops batch encoding
Hi, Today, I experience a really annoying problem of the new RC builds of Mediacoder, namely when I did a batch encoding and went away for several hours, Mediacoder asked me that I should me sure that Mediacoder is connected to the internet; I just know that after a few hours later when I am back, o...

Please, make donation Pop-up Screens less obstructive!
Hi, I recently used Mediacoder to encode/convert some old karaoke VCDs, but I am obstructed by these donation pop-op screens/windows. I don't remember any of these pop-ups in the older betas (although by using google search, I find out that similar problems did occur in the beta ), but they are now ...

Re: CUDA limits (using h.264 b frames)??
Hi, with what kind of utility are you using to verify how many b-frames was used in the encoded video which made use of CUDA H.264 encoder in Mediacoder? I have used Mediainfo lite and can only see that there's just 2 ReFrames are being used in every CUDA H.264 encode(would be nice if it's possible ...

Re: Build 5166: avisynth video source gives unwilling audio mode
Hi, I thought you can fix this issue by e.g. configuring the audio from stereo to 5.1 in ffdshow audio decoder configuration under "mixer" and you must use ffdshow audio decoder for audio (if you are using ffdshow or any other codec packs which includes ffdshow you will have ffdshow audio and video)...

Re: Subtitle problem converting some .MKV files
Hi, It seems the video from above that's encoded with Mediacoder is also showing the actual settings (such as timing) of SSA/*** stylized subtitle, normally it shouldn't. A work-around is using "avisynth" as the source (under video tab) instead of "auto select" or "mencoder". Via avisynth (DirectSho...

Re: Build 5135 x264 vbv-maxrate/bufsize gone in advance settings
They are moved to Settings->Overall->Video. All video encoders share the same settings now. Thanks, but it does not seems to work, even when I have successfully put the VBV maxrate/bufsize = 1024 kbps and apply these settings in the mentioned section in Mediacoder. I have tested/encoded a video wit...

I´m using the latest NViddia drivers (270.61) The MediaCoder console is showing: MediaCoder Version 0.8.1 build 5135 (built on Apr 15 2011, 02:07:19) MediaCoder is a freeware. Build 5135 x264 vbv-maxrate/bufsize gone in advance settings
Hi, I just notice that the vbv maxrate and bufsize settings are gone and are moved from the advanced settings of x264 to the videotab (since R3 5135?); I wouldn't mind that these settings are moved, but I have tried many times to apply these two settings and they wouldn't "stick" (am I doing somethi...
