So you want audiocoder. The simultaneous encoding/decoding was disabled in mediacoder some time a go.

Drag in the source file/s
Uncheck enable video
Check enable audio
Set the container raw stream
Select Nero encoder

That's about it.

This is standard behaviour. Iirc the parallelization wasn't working properly so the dev disabled it.

mediacoder is a transcoder, that's why it exists. What your after is a metadata editor.

I suspect the h264 is trying to preserve the artefacts introduced by the mpeg2maybe employ a debocking fiter....?
